Assassin's Creed reference Hints

In the starting area, you can find a cart of hay/straw in which a person’s body is partly visible, revealing their boots and white clothing. This might be a reference to the leap of faith mechanic in the Assassin's Creed series.

How to Unlock Locked Doors and Chests Hints

Locked doors and chests can be opened if you have enough points put into the lockpicking talent tree. For some, it is also possible to find or obtain the key to open them instead of picking the lock.

How to Fast Travel Hints

Cities, villages, and camps serve as fast travel points. Once you’ve unlocked a city or village fast travel point by visiting it, or set up a camp, you’ll be able to fast travel there. However, you must start at a fast travel point, too, instead of being able to travel from anywhere in the world. From a fast travel point, you can move to any of the other fast travel points you’ve unlocked. Just interact with the fast travel point to open the map and see your possible destinations.

Basic Tips Hints

Save often. Manual saves ahead of big battles or decisions will allow you to reload if you decide you want to try something different.

There is a tactical pause system that lets you pause the combat to decide what to do. Make use of this, especially in tougher battles.

Keep an eye out for materials you can gather like ore and plants. These will allow you to craft a wide variety of items, so you want to gather materials as often as possible.

On that same note, unlocking nodes in the Science and Crafting trees will allow you to make many items, including potions. Lockpicking is another tree you want to unlock quickly, due to the number of things you’ll gain access to.

If there are zones you are forbidden from entering, going into them might result in combat and losing reputation with one of the factions. However, you can still get into these areas if you sneak in, wear a disguise, or find another path inside. Alternately, sometimes there will be quests that will take you into otherwise-restricted areas, giving you a chance to look around without penalty.

Talk to your companions, both for new dialogue and to get additional side quests.

If you’re doing a quest that involves a particular faction, consider taking a companion with you who is from that faction. This will help when dealing with them during the quest.

You can change the weapons and armor equipped by your companions, so make sure to check to make sure their gear is still strong enough.

While traveling between locations, you’ll be able to visit your camp and talk to your party members. There is also a merchant in the camp, so it’s a good idea to make sure you have the items you need before you set out again.

Question marks on the map mark areas of interest. Be sure to check these spots out to find new places, quests, etc.
