Gnomes

Ovos de Páscoa

As you progress through the game, you will notice gnomes scattered. No one is really sure how many gnomes there are, but it is suggested that the gnomes aren't just cute little garden ornaments but also sinister bearded nightmare gargoyles.

Drop Rate skates through a twisty, multi-level surreal trip while trying to find the GNOMES in their secret chamber.

Skate letter locations

Guias

Collect the letters that spell 'SKATE' and complete the well-known challenge. To find the letter locations, you will need to explore every level in the game, and as you find the letters, this will add to your challenge total and allow you access to more levels.

Some of the letters will require only a small ollie, while others will require you to use your skateboard to reach the higher areas.

Pro Skater 1:

Warehouse skate letter location:

The warehouse is the easiest level.

  • S is floating in between the two ramps on the left side of the main area in the warehouse. You can reach it by doing an ollie in between the two ramps.
  • K is floating high above the ramp on the right side at the back of the warehouse. Line yourself up with the letter and then crouch to help you build up speed so that you can reach the top of the ramp and get the letter.
  • A is floating above the destroyed taxi on the right side of the warehouse. You can reach it by doing an ollie.
  • T is floating above the two sets of ramps that are in the middle of the warehouse. We suggest you use a right-hand ramp at the beginning of the warehouse to get speed to reach the T in the air.
  • E is floating in a small alcove on the left side of the warehouse. We suggest that you go down the left side of the ramp at the beginning of the warehouse, and when you get to the bottom, do an immediate left and use the ramp to get to the E.

School skate letter location:

  • S is floating on a railing that is in between the school gym and a playground. You will need to grind down the rail and get the letter.
  • K is floating between the kicker gap, which is at the bottom of the stairs that lead to the playground in School. You will need to perform an ollie over the kicker gap and get the letter.
  • A is floating in the playground of the school above the red and white safety barriers. You will need to grind along the barrier, or you can perform an ollie over the barrier to get the letter.
  • T is floating in the pathway between the playground and the pool. You will need to line yourself up with the letter and do a jump using the ramp to get enough air to get the letter.
  • E is floating above a railing in the swimming pool area. You will have to grind the rail or do an ollie to get the letter.

Abandoned Mall skate letter location:

  • S is floating just before the glass doors, which you will need to smash through. If you can't find the S stop in front of the doors of the Mall and then turn around. You should see it right behind you. You will need to grind along the red railing or do a jump trick to get the letter.
  • K is floating around the edge of the platform on the right side of the fountain. You will need to skate along the top of the platform to get the letter.
  • A is floating when you get to the pool of water that is below the hanging lights on the right side of the elevator. You will need to grind the left rail that is across the pool to get the letter.
  • T is floating in the middle of a small statue before the entrance to the old food court. We suggest that you jump onto this area and then skate through it to get the letter.
  • E is floating in the middle of the old food court. You will need to perform an ollie using the ramp.

Downtown skate letter location:

We suggest that you keep an eye out for the taxis as this will make finding the letters easier.

  • S is floating at the end of the alley when you begin the Downtown level. You will need to jump up onto the right-hand side platform. Then grind along a railing to the end and do a jump to get the letter.
  • K is floating above the fountain Downtown. You will need to build up speed and do an ollie over the fountain to get the letter.
  • A is floating on the right side of the cinema. You will need to line yourself up with the letter and then build up speed and do a jump to get the letter.
  • T is floating in a corridor that you can get to using the truck that is on the right of the cinema. You will need to use it as a ramp and then smash through the glass. Then follow the corridor until you see the T as well as the access to the roof Downtown.
  • E is floating on the railing that is above the starting location for the Downtown level. You will need to skate around until you are at the back of this level. You will need to use one of the two jumps to get above the railing and then grind along the railing to get the letter.

Downhill Jam skate letter location:

  • S is floating at the beginning of this level. You will need to use the ramp that is next to the letter so that you can get the height to get the letter.
  • K is floating on top of a set of parallel pipes when you head down the Downhill Jam. you will need to use the ramp that is in front of the pipes to get enough air. Then grind along the pipe to the left to get the letter.
  • A is floating in a raised area after the pipes. You will need to use a ramp to the left of the pipe. Then grind across the pipe to get to the small raised area. Then do an ollie to get the letter.
  • T is floating after the barrier sign that says 'Keep Clear.' You will need to use the ramp that is in front of the letter T to get enough to get the letter.
  • E is floating next to a building on the right before the end of Downhill Jam. you will need to line yourself up with the letter and then do a jump using the ramp. If your jump is high enough, then you will get the letter.

The streets skate letter location:

The streets are the last level in Pro Skater 1.

  • K is floating in an area with glass windows that you can smash. You will need to go up the ramp directly opposite the starting point of the level. Then carefully jump down from one balcony to another balcony. Smash through the glass window to get the letter.
  • A is floating in an area that has a Chinatown theme. You will need to use one of the ramps to launch yourself into the air and then jump towards the letter to get it.
  • T is floating in a glass room and is the hardest letter to find on the Streets level. You will need to go to the wall that is directly on the right side of the park. Then go up the ramp to land on the flower beds and skate along the top and go through the glass into the room to get the letter. You can leave through the door that opens or go back through the glass.
  • E is floating in the large building opposite, but also across the road from the park. You will need to use the ramp outside and smash through the glass. Then use the ramps that are inside to get enough air to get the letter.

Secret Areas

Ovos de Páscoa

In the previous versions of the game, players found it exciting to find secret areas built into the game, and you will be happy to hear that the secret areas have returned.

Locations:

  1. Downtown: use the walkway and the truck to get onto the roof. Then go into the area surrounded by the quarter pipe. Make sure to build up some speed, then use the ramp that has an arrow on it to leap to the next rooftop. The secret tape is in mid-air here.
  2. Downhill Jam: Use the left-hand ramp before the dam to grind the high rail. Then follow the rail and grind another rail to get to the other side. Then use the quarter pipe or wallride and ollie over the gap. Get up onto the bridge and follow it. Look for another quarter pipe to cross the next gap. Lastly, use the big ramp to get over to the tape.
  3. Hangar: Look for the helicopter, then jump up and grind along the one propeller. This should make the propeller fly upwards. Then look for a door beneath the Neversoft sign. Go outside and collect the secret tape that is on the top of the quarter pipe.
  4. School: go to the gym's roof and then get on top of the air conditioner unit. Look for a pipe leading down to an awning. Grind the pipe to the awning, then follow it down. Ramp off the end to collect the secret tape.
  5. School II: Make your way to the library courtyard. Look for a raised part with the quarter pipe and get onto it, then use it to build up some speed. Head towards the library building and look for a planter at the bottom and use this to launch yourself to the top of the building. The secret tape is in the air between the flags.
  6. Streets: Look for the gazebo in the main plaza with the tape above it. Find the sculpture on the opposite side and ollie onto it, and then ollie onto the side of a building. Follow the ledge, and jump to the next building. Follow the path all the way up to the roof. Build speed and ramp off the big ramp and snag the secret tape.
  7. Mall: Stay on the right, and you'll find a ramp over a wrecked car, but keep going and jump off the edge and grind the suspended light rail. Then jump off at the end to get the secret tape.
  8. New York City: make sure to use the subway tracks to get down to the bank part of this level. Then go to the right and make sure the grassy bank is on your left-hand side. Go to the concrete path leading up to the left. When you get to the top, you will need to grind the rail to the right, then go to another rail that is on your left, grind to the end, then jump off to get the secret tape.
  9. Philadelphia: You will begin by heading left and finding the planter that curves around to the right. In the end, you should find a long wire. You will need to grind the wire to the middle to get the secret tape.
  10. Venice Beach: You will head straight down and see the tape above a wire. Then use one of the tables below, and ollie up and grind the wire to get the secret tape. This may take a couple of tries.
  11. Warehouse: look for hidden tape in Warehouse. This "secret room" is the small area above the half-pipe, and you can reach it by ramping off either side of the half-pipe.
