There are three playable characters, but only one is unlocked at the start. To unlock the other two, you will need to play Rescue mode and rescue them from cages. This will let you choose which character to play as.

There are two different game modes. Rescue mode sends you on a mission to defeat the Reapers and rescue imprisoned girls. Survivor mode simply tasks you with surviving for as long as possible.

The enemy AI cannot reach all areas. Therefore, it’s entirely possible to find a safe spot where you can stand, untouchable, and shoot your enemies from there.

There are four different types of weapons, and weapons are always located in the same place in each stage.

If you see a small white box marked with a heart, collecting it will restore your health.

Two types of special ammo can be found:

• Blue ammo – makes your shots insta-kill enemies they hit, power-up lasts for 20 seconds
• Orange ammo – burns enemies hit with your shots, power-up lasts for 40 seconds

Collecting these will also count toward the Box Collector trophy.
