LittleBigPlanet 3 Announced at E3
We weren’t expecting to see the return of Sony’s adorable puzzle platformer series, LittleBigPlanet, at E3, especially because series developer Media Molecule said it wouldn’t be showing anything this year. So we were quite surprised when Sony’s press conference introduced us to LittleBigPlanet 3 and several new characters.
The third installment will include not only Sackboy, but OddSock, Swoop, and Toggle. These three new characters have different abilities, which should open up new gameplay options, increase the depth and complexity of puzzles, and make co-op crazier than ever. It promises other new features as well, and we can’t wait to see them all.
So what was up with Media Molecule’s statement? Simple. LittleBigPlanet is being developed by Sumo Digital.
Thanks for the kind words twitter, but they belong to @SonyXDevEurope and@SumoDigitalLtd – we are not making LBP3!
