This will duplicate a necklace, trinket or totem.  This does not work for weapons or armor.

On your first character equip the item to duplicate.  Enter the sewer at the Harm's Way Inn.

Immediately save and quit upon entering the dungeon.

Load your save.

Go directly to the party tab.

Select the item to duplicate and unequip it.

Then tap on the character icon in the top left corner.

You should have an extra item in your inventory.
