One of the things that has irked fans for a while now is the lack of external storage support for the Xbox One. Well, according to Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, it’s on its way, at least for games.

“External game storage is coming soon….I need to check on media support.”

We don’t know when “soon” is, but at least we know this feature is planned for the near future.

He answered several other questions on Reddit, so be sure to check out the full thread if you’re interested in Major Nelson’s thoughts on the Xbox One. Interestingly, when a few fans jumped on the idea of using Kinect as a security system, he said there would be “a TON of issues” with such a feature, the most important of which is privacy. While some players already have privacy concerns about the Kinect, he made it clear that the Kinect is not “always watching” you.

He’s confident about the future of the Xbox One, and it does sound like Microsoft has a lot of good things planned. We’ve got external storage on the agenda, so what features are you hoping to see next?
